Let's face it- the fancy kitchen or the desire to have one will never go away. Beauty is why we fall in love but functionality goes beyond the honeymoon. When I update my kitchen I most certainly will explore this option with Blue Star. Here are some reasons you should consider Blue Star too.
Martha has found a way (once again) to bring herself into our homes. This time it's through our kitchens. Updating a kitchen is still a wise bet for homeowners who will recoup about 70% return on investment for a mid-range kitchen. If you are staying put for a while and are considering updating your kitchen check out Martha's line at the Home Depot. It's a modern twist on traditional.

Whether for fun or necessity dressing your floors can be daunting. Not to mention expensive. That's why I go to FLOR first. The 19.7 inch squares give you plenty of options in texture & style to customize any space-even your garage! Best of all they are easy to install and care for. The brilliant website allows you to shop by trends, price, foot traffic and more. The company has a commitment to sustainable business practices including a recycle program. Did I mention the prices are great? Oh and if you need personal home design expert to help you design your FLOR you can schedule that as well. (Chicago area only)
Once again I make a reference to This Old House! How fun are these before & after pictures! Take a peak at them, especially if you are looking for ideas. Besides "curb appeal" there are make overs for every room in the house.
...on some old outdoor furniture! This wood set has been out on our porch through 3 winters. While it is not horrible, it certainly was looking tattered & worn this spring. As someone suggested to me, why not give it a new life with some paint? I am happy to report it wasn't me who spent hours painting it. Thankfully, my patient (& retired) Dad actually did the painting this chilly May. I was surprised as ever at the length of time he spent doing it-Thanks Dad! An added benefit is the paint will help protect the wood as well.
